JOB DESCRIPTION
Quality Inspector
Perform receiving inspections and sampling of raw materials. Monitor startup inspections of Mixing, Production, and Packaging operations. Release finished products for inventory or shipment. Inspections include observing adherence to standard operating procedures, accuracy, and quality of operations. Examine company records to secure information, such as product size and weight, and results of quality tests. Inspect products to determine compliance with order specifications, the company's quality control system, legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize the sampling, testing, and paperwork related to raw materials and in-process products.
- Submit samples of product and material to the laboratory for testing as indicated by department procedures.
- Stamp mark of approval or rejection on products and write reports of examinations.
- Have the authority to stop any manufacturing process that is non-conforming.
- Disposition stickers on materials as appropriate and issue use cards when required.

Work Environment
The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions may occur. Noise levels are typically moderate. Daily duties include verifying production lines, wearing protective gear such as paper face masks, hair nets, and jumpsuits in clean room areas, and taking samples of raw materials in designated booths. Office duties include QA documentation filing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jurupa Valley, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
