Job DescriptionJob Description Quality InspectorDepartment: Quality AssuranceLocation: LeanderReports To: Quality Supervisor / ManagerPosition: Full Time Payb Range : $18-21/HourSchedule : Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with overtime when needed (up to 10 hrs. per week)Position SummaryCypress Technologies Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced quality professional with strong initiative to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all quality standards are consistently met across our manufacturing operations. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing inspections, quality checks, and process evaluations throughout the production cycle—helping to maintain and improve our products, processes, and systems.This position requires hands-on experience with quality inspections, a deep understanding of quality documentation, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during various stages of the manufacturing processInspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure conformance to specificationsDocument and record inspection results accurately and thoroughlyIdentify, report, and track non-conformances and assist in root cause analysisMake recommendations to improve quality processes, documentation, and product consistencyAssist in developing and updating process documentation, such as SOPs, routings, and travelersCreate and present visual aids and reports to support quality analysis and decision-makingSupport and participate in internal ISO audits and ensure compliance with applicable standardsLead or assist in continuous improvement and corrective action initiativesProvide ESD and ISO-related training and ensure proper control measures are followedMaintain defect tracking and rework records to monitor and reduce quality issuesServe as backup for in-process and final pre-shipment inspectionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and purchasingFollow all safety and quality policies as part of Cypress Technologies Corporation’s commitment to operational excellencePerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsHigh level of initiative and problem-solving abilityAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and manufacturing documentsProficient in Microsoft Office and enterprise software systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within teamsFamiliarity with quality inspection tools and methodologiesKnowledge of ISO 9001 standards and ESD control practicesEducation & Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 2 years of technical or manufacturing experience in a quality roleExperience with ISO standards, internal audits, and quality control processesPrior experience in a high-tech or electronics manufacturing environment is a plusWork Environment & ConditionsWillingness to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short noticeMust be able to stand, walk, and perform inspections in a production environment for extended periods
