Are you ready to go beyondWhat You Will Do:We have an opportunity for a Quality Inspector - Grainsize and MCL to be based in Columbus GA.The shift schedule is AWW2: Fri-Sun 7pm-7am.Mech Testing:Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testingReceive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracySort priorities as neededOperate multiple machines for Specimen testingComply with all training required including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.Log testing data in UGAMaintain required log booksGrainsize:Perform internal and external grainsize operations on partsFollow blueprints Work Instructions and GBMOP to mark locations accuratelyUtilize different chemicals for the etching processPrepare specimens by operating different equipment and polishing methodsUse Solumina and UGA for data recordingPerform grainsize readings on the microscopeInspection:Receive specimens from shopMeasure specimens on shadow graph and compare to given specificationsPrioritize based on specified prioritiesMove specimens to test in UGADaily setups and checks of shadow graphCreate turnback as neededAdditional responsibilities:Perform 6s each shiftEngage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savingsComplete all training within the expected time givenQualifications You Must Have:High School Diploma or GEDMust be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift.
