Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFull-time Aerospace CMM Quality InspectorNationwide Aerospace Manufacturing CompanyJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team at our Nationwide Aerospace Manufacturing Company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our aerospace components through the use of all quality instruments and other advanced inspection techniques. This position requires a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, CMM operation, and a thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine inspection requirementsApply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to evaluate part conformanceExperience with all quality instrumentation (Micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc) Develop and implement CMM inspection programs for various aerospace componentsPerform first article inspections and generate detailed reportsConduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specificationsIdentify and document non-conformances, defects, or quality issuesCollaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality-related issuesMaintain accurate inspection records and generate comprehensive quality reportsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes and efficiencyStay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices in aerospace quality controlEnsure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality management systemsPerform calibration and verification of measuring equipment as requiredContribute to the development and improvement of quality control procedures and work instructionsQualifications and RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace industryCoordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a big plus.Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and applicationsStrong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality control standardsExperience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar platforms (is a big plus)In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality management systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
