The mostmeaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.About the Team:The Quality team supports all areas of production of Relativitys hardware and defines the processes to do so. We work closely with engineering manufacturing supply chain test and launch counterparts to ensure the quality of our products. We help lay the foundation for all processes within the product lifecycle design buy build test and launch. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing Quality organization and help lead the front on producing the industrys highest quality 3D-printed parts and launch vehicle.This is a 1st shift position with a standard schedule of 5:00AM-3:30PM PT Monday through Friday. Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals.About the Role:Perform visual dimensional and functional inspections of flight hardware using variety of metrology tools (Micrometers Bore gauges Romer arm CMM etc.) Provide detailed in-process and final inspections of production hardware using CAD model drawings process specifications and/or work order requirements Provide detailed feedback to Machine Shop to help improve quality of the hardware Thoroughly review all hardware requirements and determine pass/fail status documenting outcomes and any non-conformances or deviations found Provide feedback to Engineering Additive and other departments to help resolve quality related issues.About the Role:Perform visual dimensional and functional inspections of flight hardware using variety of metrology tools (Micrometers Bore gauges Romer arm CMM etc.)Provide detailed in-process and final inspections of production hardware using CAD model drawings process specifications and/or work order requirementsProvide detailed feedback to Machine Shop to help improve quality of the hardwareThoroughly review all hardware requirements and determine pass/fail status documenting outcomes and any non-conformances or deviations foundProvide feedback to Engineering Additive and other departments to help resolve quality related issuesAbout You:A minimum of 5 years experience working as a Quality InspectorDemonstrated knowledge of GD&T ability to review drawings and identify improper callouts/datum structures according to ASME Y14.5Experience with metrology hand inspection tools (calipers micrometers bore gages thread gages optical comparator etc.)Portable CMM Arm experience required with sufficient Verisurf skillsProficient at documenting inspection outcomes via detailed reports (AS9102 NCRs etc.)Excellent communication and teamwork skills ability to effectively communicate with engineering shop floor techs and/or other inspection personnelThis position requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs regularly as part of the essential job functionNice to haves but not required: Knowledge of Aerospace hardware specifications coating/processes assemblies etc.CMM Programming skills using Verisurf softwareExperience at an Aerospace or automotive start-upGood computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and OutlookExperience with NX Teamcenter Jira Infor LNExperience with AS9100 ISO9001 or similar QMSBasic CNC skills Benefits:100% health care coverage on your first dayQuarterly wellness stipend to use on health and wellnessPartnership with Modern Health with access to 8 therapy & coaching sessions and mental health resourcesDiscounts on gym memberships travel and entertainment through PerkSpotUnlimited onsite snacksFree lunch on Mondays and FridaysAnnual learning and development stipendPPE StipendPet Insurance through FetchCompany Paid Life Insurance Short Term Disability and Long Term DisabilityUp to 12 weeks salary continuation for paid pregnancy disability leave8 Weeks company paid parental leaveAccess to One MedicalAt Relativity Space we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
