Our customers are developing tomorrow's high-tech products, and we are building technology to accelerate their success using scalable automation. We’re looking for a Quality Inspector who’s passionate about precision and wants to play an important role supporting modern manufacturing. You’ll be hands-on in a dynamic, cross-functional environment helping us deliver quality at speed. What You’ll Do: Inspect composite, machined, or assembled parts using basic measuring toolsReview parts against drawings, work instructions, and inspection checklists Document and report findings clearly for internal teams and external stakeholders Perform receiving inspections and verify incoming materials meet spec Track and document non-conformances and coordinate rework and disposition Input inspection data into our MES (Matrix) and help refine our digital tools Support on packaging and fulfillment to help move parts out the door with speed Collaborate with production, software, and engineering to raise quality and reduce defects What We’re Looking For: Be awesome! Be the kind of person you want to work with! Have an eagerness and willingness to learn and grow within a quality or manufacturing career path Possess a sharp eye for detail and a high standard for precision and consistencyBe comfortable entering data quickly and accurately into systems Hands-on experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Proficient computer and written skills, including email communication and Microsoft OfficeAble to clearly document and communicate quality issues Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted  Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, standing for extended periods, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying in a manufacturing environment.Preferred: 1+ years in quality or inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Familiar with AS9100 or similar QMS standards Familiar with 3D surface scanning, metrology software or similar tools Experience with MES, ERP, PLM, or QMS platforms Know how to handle First Article Inspections from start to finish Comfortable reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T Hourly: $25- $32  Final compensation is based on your experience, skills, and what you bring to the table. Equity Option Grants: Most full-time team members receive stock options Full Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, company-paid life insurance, 401k plan Time Off That Respects Your Time:  Competitive PTO plan with paid vacation, holidays, and leave options. Why Layup Parts? You’ll be part of a small, fast, and tight-knit team tackling real engineering challenges every day.
