Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary:The Quality Control Inspectors monitor operations to ensure products are being produced according to standards. They review specifications, oversee processes and identify defects in goods and materials. Some quality control inspectors make suggestions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of machines and operations.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Ensure that all the quality check procedures put in place are followed during every step of the production phaseConduct visual inspections to identify defects or non-conformities in a safe and efficient mannerAnalyze test data and inspection results to determine if products meet quality standardsCollaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actionsComplete check sheets, reports, forms, etc. as assigned & with accuracyParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input on process enhancementsCommunicate with leadership quickly and effectivelyMeet daily production goals through teamwork and continuous improvement initiativesRead and/or enter data through computer or PDAEnsure equipment and workstations are cleaned dailyFollow Mobis MNAe guidelines (according to handbook) and other policies established by departmentComply with all safety rules and guidance, as well as report all recognized hazardsAll other duties as assignedWorking independently and good communication skillsBasic Qualifications:(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)Required Education & Experience:High School Diploma or GEDManufacturing Quality Inspection experience preferred but not requiredRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Basic reading and computer skills Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practicesExcellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data accuratelyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of quality issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsEffectively use hand tools and/or air toolsQuickly learn new tasks and follow detailed work instructionsMust be a team player in a team working environmentAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work extended hours and overtime as needed on short noticePreferred Education & Experience:Manufacturing Quality Inspection experience preferred but not requiredWorking Conditions:Production/assembly (or Warehouse) environmentTraversing around production/ warehouse floorStanding for extended periods of time Repetitive motionsLifting (between 10-30 lbs.)Work may take place on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shiftSupervisory Responsibilities: No
