Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION: Quality Inspector LOCATION: Jupiter, FL.STATUS: Hourly Non-ExemptJOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:Performs incoming, in-process and final dimensional, visual and functional inspections on various commercial and military aerospace turbine by following written procedures and established practices Performs inspections for AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports and documents variable or attribute data as requiredInterfaces with aerospace engineering regarding recommendations for work instruction and/or router improvements Generates NCRs in quality management system Reviews job paperwork through entire inspection process to ensure completeness and conformity Utilizes precision measuring equipment as required Operates small cranes to move equipment, parts, and material Maintains a clean and orderly work area Follows Environmental Health and Safety regulations while working in a fast-paced environment Other duties as assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation & TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentComplete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria. Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix. Skills/Experience 3+ years of inspection experience in a production or manufacturing environment3+ years of experience with interpretation of technical drawings or work instructionsBasic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, and time keeping applicationsMust be detail orientated Physical RequirementsStooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of timeWalking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.Pushing & PullingLifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.The worker is subject to noise. There may be sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout raise their voice to be heard above ambient noise level.The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.Capable of wearing required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, etc.Ability to cooperate and work with peopleEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
