Considerjoining our family – take care of your career and yourcommunity! MeijerRewardsWeekly paySchedulingflexibilityPaid parentalleave Paid educationassistanceTeam member discountDevelopment programs foradvancement and careergrowth Please review the jobprofile below and apply today!This role is responsiblefor designing, implementing and the oversight of quality foodsafety and regulatory compliance programs related to Meijermanufactured food products for a single facility; this includesissues relating to product quality, allergens, microbiological,foreign material, traceability and/or other food safety andregulatory compliance concerns. What You'll beDoing:Practices 200% SafetyAccountability (self and others).Reducevariation and optimize quality of all Meijer brand products andassist product development team as necessary to support theirefforts.Assist with design and development ofquality programs in order to achieve company goals regardingimplementing and maintaining Safe Quality Foods (SQF) level 3, PLEXand license compliance.Manage and overseemaintenance of food quality and food safety programs including:Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard OperatingProcedures (SSOPs), Environmental Monitoring, Hazard Analysis andCritical Control Points (HACCP),Allergens.Serve as primary onsite liaisonbetween Meijer and the various regulatory agencies that inspectoperations at the facility including but not limited to: local,state and federal agencies.Stay current onlocal, state and federal regulations related to products producedat the facility.Serve as a quality liaisonwith product sales customers ensuring quality customerservice.Review customer/store complaints andimplement corrective activities to reduceoccurrences.Oversee training and management offood safety, quality and samplingprograms.Oversee and coordinate the physical,microbial and chemical testing of products and rawmaterials.Work and interact on a daily basiswith plant and corporate management on projects affecting quality,food safety and efficiencies.  Create,monitor and work within QA department budgetaryguidelines.Serve as lead for regulatoryinspections.WhatYou Bring with You(Qualifications):4 yeardegree in Food Science, Science or related disciplinerequired.Minimum of 2 years of qualityassurance supervisory experience within a food manufacturingenvironment.General knowledge/experience withmicrobiological, chemical and physical testing of foodproducts/ingredients.Generalknowledge/training in Food Safety, HACCP, SQFrequired.Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Ability to analyze data andinformation to make timely and effectivedecisions.Ability to work under pressure andto react to situations with a strong sense ofurgency.Strong written and verbalcommunication skills, with the ability to effectively communicatethroughout all levels of theorganization.Detail oriented, organized,reliable and resourceful.Ability to workeffectively both independently and within a teamenvironment.
