Job Description

Ensures conformance to internal and external quality standards and assists the customer sales representatives suppliers and division personnel with establishing achievable quality standards. Communicates customer expectations to staff manufacturing personnel and suppliers.Responsibilities:Assists in establishing promoting and coordinating lines of communication between the customer sales representatives suppliers and division personnelInteracts with customers suppliers vendors and division personnel regarding quality and production issuesAttends job production pre-planning meetingsEvaluates the input material on a job and guides the customers helping them deliver material that will produce a high quality jobPerforms press color approvals for both internal and external jobsAssists in the development of procedures and techniques for reducing process variation and manufacturing delaysAssists manufacturing personnel in establishing standards of quality to be used and certifying that established company and industry standards have been metEvaluates process output and supplied materials for compliance with established standardsCommunicates with sales customer service and the customer to resolve quality issuesNegotiate resolution of customer or manufacturing complaintsAssist in creating and maintaining the statistical process control programMay be responsible for ISO programs within the divisionDuties include reviewing documents preparing for audits conducting audits following up on implementation issues and training as it relates to ISOServes as the EHS Program Champion for the facility working closely with the facility management staff and the Regional EHS ManagerEnsures completion of required employee environmental safety and health training orientationMaintains monthly EHS injury & program metrics (e.g. OSHA Recordkeeping Task Tracker etc.)Keep track of spoilage and root causes and solutionsPerforms other related duties and participates in special projects as assignedQualifications : Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with up to 3 years of relevant work experienceAble to translate previous work experience in to very good problem-solving skills and appropriately apply proven solutionsConsistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidanceApply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routineAble to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignmentsMay require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the positionRequires good communication skills both verbal and writtenAble to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignmentsVery good knowledge of printing and color theory.Additional Information : RRDs current salary range for this role is $52900 to $79400 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee and the range may change in the future. At RRD it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon but not limited to education skills experience proficiency performance shift and location. Depending on the role in addition to base salary the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus commission or incentive program.
