By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for complex manufactured components.Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications to define accurate measurement strategies.Operate CMM machinery to execute inspection programs and collect precise dimensional data.Analyze measurement results, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve product quality.Perform routine calibration checks and maintenance on CMM equipment and software.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.Hands-on experience with CMM operation, setup, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with CAD software for model import and feature creation.Bonus QualificationsExperience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).Advanced proficiency in a specific CAD software beyond basic model import (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.Lean / Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, Dimensional Inspection Programmer, Quality Metrology Programmer, CMM Specialist, Metrology Technician, Dimensional Metrologist, Measurement Programmer, GD&T Programmer, PC-DMIS ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
