Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead quality assurance and food safety initiatives within a high-volume plastics manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food packaging standards while supporting production across blown and cast film extrusion operations. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement, product quality, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining a HACCP-based food safety system and continuous improvement culture. Key Responsibilities Supervise and mentor Quality Technicians and Inspectors across shifts Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards in a packaging/manufacturing environment Lead quality audits, internal inspections, and regulatory compliance initiatives Monitor production processes including blown film and extrusion operations to ensure consistent product quality Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Oversee lab testing, including physical and visual inspection of film products Maintain and improve quality management systems and documentation Partner with production to reduce scrap, improve yields, and optimize processes Support customer quality requirements, complaints, and corrective actions Train employees on quality standards, food safety practices, and SOPs Qualifications 3-7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within manufacturing Experience in plastics, blown film, extrusion, or flexible packaging highly preferred Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards Experience working in FDA-regulated or food-grade packaging environments preferred Familiarity with lab testing equipment, film inspection, and gauge control processes Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis Excellent communication and leadership abilities Preferred Experience Blown film or cast film extrusion processes Flexible packaging or converting environment ISO or similar quality systems Continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma a plus) Interested in hearing more?
