By connecting with Pivot Group, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software.Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement anomalies.Select appropriate fixturing, probes, and measurement strategies for various parts.Generate comprehensive inspection reports and analyze measurement data.Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.Demonstrated experience with CMM operation, setup, and maintenance.Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement uncertainty.Bonus QualificationsExperience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers, portable measuring arms).Proficiency in CAD software beyond basic model import (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model manipulation or fixture design.Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for CMM hardware or software.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, CMM Operator, Metrology Programmer, CMM Technician, Dimensional Metrologist, Quality Inspector (CMM), Inspection ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
