The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Norton Shores region seeking Quality Technicians. Key Responsibilities Inspect raw materials in-process components and finished products for conformance to specifications. Perform dimensional visual and functional tests using various measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers CMM). Document inspection results non-conformances and maintain accurate quality records. Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials initiating appropriate corrective action requests. Operate and perform basic maintenance on quality inspection equipment ensuring proper calibration. Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process audits to ensure process adherence. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges). Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints specifications and GD&T. Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles and inspection processes. Experience with data collection analysis and basic Statistical Process Control (SPC). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for non-conformance identification. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification. Familiarity with common QMS (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100) or ERP systems. Internal auditing experience or training.
