Job Description
Job Summary:The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting daily Quality System operations including oversight of Receiving In-Process and Final Inspections. Owning or supporting the Quality related Lab functions and inspections. Supporting Quality Leadership with new product launches as directed. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the Quality System.Key Responsibilities: Participating in the corrective actions process. Performing Receiving In-process and Final Inspections. Supporting the calibration of Quality and R&D Lab equipment. Supporting Internal Audits per schedule and direction. Contributing to the generation of standard work instructions. Become the subject matter expert for inspection devices and teaching others. On-site support at the customer if required. (Travel may be necessary) Follow all company safety policies mandatory PPE requirements and operational guidelines. Participate in 5S Kaizen and other continuous improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications: 1-3 years of hands-on Quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of product prints and tolerances. GD&T a plus. Skilled at performing Dimensional Inspections when needed. Willing to be trained as an Internal Auditor. Ability to understand and follow process Control Plans. Ability to train others if needed. Capable of supporting the Corrective Action process. Basic computer skills (ERP systems Excel data entry). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform frequent standing walking and bending. Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial production workflows preferred. Exposure to 5S and continuous improvement practices is a plus.Work Environment: Manufacturing plant setting with varying temperatures and noise levels. Frequent standing walking bending and lifting. Mandatory PPE required per facility policy.The work environment will be a mix of a typical warehouse environment a manufacturing floor and a construction site. Noise level: Normal warehouse manufacturing and construction noises.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
