Job DescriptionTool & Die MachinistOTTO's opportunity:OurTool & Die Machinist is responsible for setting up machinery in the Dies Plus / OTTO Machine Shop in a short run environment.Specifically, the Tool & Die Machinist will:Keep a clean and organized work areaResponsible for inspecting products on an independent basis per OTTO's inspection proceduresAbility to make wear off-setsAssist operator in trainingGuide machine operators to maintain production flowBasic understanding of speeds and feedsBasic understanding of the methods and layout in which the parts are set-up and runCapable of machining from CAD Models (die design)Complete math aptitude through trigonometryCapable of generating programs of line using Mastercam or Solutionware CAD CAM (training available)Capable of using CAD CAM system to generate programs for 3D machiningBasic understanding of tool and die concepts and functionsBe able to create DXF files out of CAD Models Assist in the design of piece parts for manufacturabilityAssist in supervising when machine shop supervisor is absentAssist with other related duties as required or assignedWhat you'll need to bring to the table:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years related job experienceAvailability for nonstandard or extended work scheduleGood communication and organizational skillsReach heights that may require a stepladderLift equipment up to 50 lbs. with assistance as necessaryMust be able to work in a quick paced environmentAbility to use various inspection gaugesWhat OTTO offers for this specific position:The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.Target hourly hiring range:$32.00 to $39.00per hour, based on qualifications and experience.Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year.
