Responsibilities
Integral part of the Radiology team providing patient and departmental support ensuring efficient workflow and safe patient care performing a wide range of services. Requires excellent communication, customer service, critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail. Requires the ability to prioritize daily tasks simultaneously within a fast paced, ever changing work environment; must be adaptable and flexible within a strong team structure. Functions include, but not limited to pre and post procedure and exam set up and tasks, assist with clerical needs, stocking, inventory management, room turn over, disinfection of department and equipment. Procedural duties include sterile procedure set up, adherence to Universal Protocol, identification verification, specimen and medication labeling, specimen collection and handling. Assists with patient transport, patient transfer techniques, exam set up and patient positioning. Requires knowledge and proficiency in electronic applications needed to assist with scheduling, transport, documentation, image review, and communications. Other job-related duties as assigned by leadership including training of new employees. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Communicates professionally with all staff, patients and visitors throughout the campus.
Department specific additional responsibilities may include required education, knowledge and adherence to safe practices involving equipment and isolation precautions. Knowledge and assistance with power injectors, removal of IV's, removal and application of leads, cuffs and 02, obtaining and loading prior outside imaging and reports, assist with tracking studies.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or G.E.D Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Physically able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Requires upper and lower physical strength to be able to manage the pushing and pulling of stretchers with and without patients occupying them. Must be organized, detail oriented, efficient, and be able to multitask to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Adapts to unpredictable situations. Must have a strong work ethic and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with electronic applications and technical office equipment (printers, fax machine, copiers, telephone systems).
PREFERRED: Patient care experience preferred.
License/Certification: Successful completion of a BLS course within the first 6 months of employment.

$20.00 - $24.75 / hour; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
