Job SummaryThe Radiology Technologist performs radiological procedures on patients in a physician practice office and processes the films/images for interpretation by a Radiologist.Job ResponsibilitiesAdjust equipment for proper exposure in accordance with radiation safety.Perform imaging studies that produce quality images.Be attentive to scheduling and work within allotted time provided for procedures.Explain x-ray procedures with patients and collect data for physician assessment. Position patient for exam/procedure. Determine proper film for x-ray. Process film.Maintain radiographic area in a clean safe and orderly well-stocked condition.Assess patients needs and determine appropriate intervention(s).Perform necessary clerical functions check in/out.Supervise students as required.Other duties as assigned.Education RequirementsMinimum: Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).Experience RequirementsMinimum: Diagnostic radiology experiencePreferred: Additional modality experienceLicense/Certification RequirementsMinimum:Radiologic Technologist license valid in the state of IndianaAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-R)Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association) Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
