Radiology Clerk - Imaging - Part Time Days 8 am - 4:30 pm and Weekends 6 am - 2:30 pm Rotating Weekends and Some Holidays

Schedule: Part Time Days 8 am - 4:30 pm and weekends 6 am - 2:30 pm rotating weekends and some holidays
Hospital: Henry Ford Genesys
Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan
General Summary:
Greet patients and performs a variety of clerical and service duties such as: answering telephones and directing calls; communicating information; scheduling outpatient procedures and tests; maintain logs, reports, and files; assisting physicians; and distributing x-ray reports and films.
Processing and maintaining images through the AGFA System. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Performs other related duties as requested by authorized personnel.
Essential Functions:
Ability to be mobile, have normal manual dexterity;
Must be able to effectively communicate orally, written, by telephone with staff, physicians and patients;
Ability to plan, follow directions and problem solve;
Ability to teach, capable of learning the hospital, Radiology computer system and AGFA Network.
Working Conditions: - Sits at a computer, turns, stands and stoops; reaches for and lifts objects such as heavy film and jackets; can stand an entire shift; stoops, turns, reaches for and lifts, pulls and pushes heavy film carts and other equipment; will perform other related duties as required.
Orientation Requirements: - All employees are required to participate in new employee orientation and Center/departmental orientation.

Education/Experience Required:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program required; courses in filing, typing, basic computer skills, general office procedures, and medical terminology preferred.
Work Experience: Prefer related office experience.
Must be able to read, write and follow oral and/or written instructions; must possess and demonstrate the necessary discretion in dealing with confidential information, communications skills, initiative, tact, diplomacy and dependability to perform all duties of position; must have ability to establish and maintain rapport with patients, employees, supervisors, and contacts external to the ministry; must be physically and mentally capable of performing all duties of the position; must be neat in personal appearance.
