Radiologist Hospital & Interventional ProceduresA hospital seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist to provide acute care imaging coverage including interventional radiology (IR) procedures. Schedule:Day shifts, roughly 8:00 AM 4:30 PMPotential for rare night call after hoursCoverage needed on select dates from September through December Responsibilities:Hospital imaging coverage including stroke CTs, ED, ICU, and inpatient studiesInterventional Radiology procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, abscess drainage, chest tubes, and biopsies (thyroid, lung, others)Outpatient building coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies (optional)Average daily volume: 70 studies plus 5-8 proceduresModalities: CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, and IR proceduresEMR system: CernerSupport from radiology nurses, techs, and a large radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads Ideal Candidate:Skilled in acute care imaging and IR proceduresComfortable managing stroke imaging and emergency/ICU studiesBLS and DEA certification requiredClean malpractice preferredMust have fluoroscopy certification at submission This is an excellent opportunity for radiologists with procedural skills seeking a dynamic hospital setting with a variety of cases and manageable call.
