Radiology physician job in California : Duties - Independently perform a complex and diverse array of screening and diagnostic mammography examinations. - Management of patient schedules for patient arrivals, proper "arriving", interviewing and "departing" of both male and female patients. - Assist the Radiologist(s) and other Health Care Providers needle localizations, breast ultrasound studies and other related breast health examinations. - Provide expert advice in mammographic imaging to enhance patient evaluation and care. - Collecting, filing and maintaining documentation related to the performance of mammograms and resulting studies. - Research pertinent patient histories and act as liaison with other healthcare facilities in order to collect information and records from prior examinations. Performs other duties as assigned. Conditions of Employment: - Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. - This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. - This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so. - Applicants must be able to fulfill non-privileged professional credential requirements. - This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion. - This position does not require a Mammography Technician Certification but is highly desired. Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
