Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff.The Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) is a professional who works with a Radiologist to diagnose and treat patients using diagnostic imaging examinations. The Ultrasound Technologist will prepare patients and equipment for radiology procedures perform the tests and maintain the equipment. Ultrasound Technologists explain procedures to patients positioning patients and equipment performing examinations developing film and maintaining and operating specialized radiologic equipment.JOB DUTIESComplete the patient intake process taking patients histories and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedureReview patients charts and Doctors notes before the examination and maintaining patients records during and after proceduresPosition patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear imagesMonitor patients and ensuring their safety during imaging proceduresCalibrate the equipment to ensure clear usable images are taken of the correct area as specified by the DoctorLog and organize image results assist with the interpretation of the radiograph results and consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be takenEnsure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment maintain radiographic equipment and report any equipment failuresCoordinate with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic proceduresMaintain up to date knowledge of current ultrasound practicesThe Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) assumes other responsibilities as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTSAnalytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills requiredStrong attention to detail vigilance and meticulous care on the job requiredPassion for keeping people safe requiredAbility to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment requiredPhysical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance requiredComputer skills including MSOffice Outlook Meditech preferredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEGraduate of approved school of Ultrasound Technology requiredARDMS registered or eligible requiredBLS certification required1 year Ultrasound experience preferredCRMC BENEFITS OVERVIEWOur comprehensive compensation plan includes the following benefits.Generous paid time offMedical/Dental/VisionKansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS)403B Retirement SavingsAdditional Voluntary InsuranceFederal Student Loan Public Service Loan Forgiveness Eligible EmployerVoluntary Short Term DisabilityEmployee Assistant ProgramFree Indoor Walking Track & GymWe are excited to learn about you and hope you join us on a shared mission serving every generation with patient centered compassionate care.
