Ready for Maintenance at HF Sinclair Corporation

Basic Function HF Sinclair in Artesia is seeking to fill our Ready for Mainteance position. This position oversees multiple aspects and activities of the Maintenance and/or Reliability Department.Job Duties Oversees Maintenance and/or Reliability Department to a safe environmentally sound and reliable operationOversees the execution of all routine maintenance activities in conjunction with other departments as neededOversees special projects using craftsmen or a contract work force including expense and capital workOversees the resolution of maintenance reliability issuesFills in as needed for other staff positions and Refinery ManagerMay generate backlog cost estimate schedule and work scope reportsMay be responsible for maintenance budget managementDevelops Department work force including training job rotations and special assignments Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.Experience A minimum of 8 to 10 years industrial maintenance/craft experience or equivalent engineering experience is required. The career level will be determined based on the candidates knowledge skills and abilities.Education Level A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.Required Skills Advanced ability to lead and direct a large interdisciplinary work force. Strong interpersonal time-management and organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and verbal communication. Advanced reading and writing skills with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility Responsible for the direct supervision of up to eight employees.Work Conditions Office based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery warehouse/plant environment out-of-doors environment and occasionally driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals pressure vessels tanks rotating equipment loud noises vibrations and working in confined spaces.
