Youll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned well-known CPAs and industry this position you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements from planning to completion to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients in our real estate practice. But our commitment goes beyond our clients as we continue to live the Withum Way promoting personal and professional growth for all team members clients and surrounding communities.How Youll Spend Your Time:Leading the engagement team on the planning and execution of audits reviews and compilations for real estate clients including REITs developers real estate funds and property managersOverseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing planning risk assessment fieldwork and reportingProviding supervision and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement manager and partnerCollaborating with managers and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagementReviewing general ledger accounts and financial statements for reliability and complianceManaging multiple engagements concurrently with various teams Creating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the auditConducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordinglyServing in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leaderThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:Bachelors degree in accounting or financeCPA or CPA eligibleAt least 4 years of public accounting experience with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staffExperience auditing real estate or related organizationsExcellent analytical technical and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP due to the complexity of the engagements in this sectorExceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsStrong leadership training and mentoring skills coupled with excellent verbal written and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to clients managementExcellent analytical organizational project management skills strong attention to detail and proven innovative problem-solving skillThe compensation for this position ranges from $90000-$135000. In addition to the base compensation Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role hiring location as well as the individuals skills experience and qualifications.
