Job DescriptionWhat You Will DoThe BDC Receiving Clerk supports the operation by logging of all in-coming purchase orders and audits completed receiving paperwork to ensure accuracy. This role assists inventory to ensure that all stores are appropriately stocked for customers and observes incoming/outgoing merchandise for defects and damage. The Receiving Clerk will call vendors for packing lists and freight bills as necessary and maintain a comprehensive filing system for completed receiving packets. The role operates distribution computers systems as required to efficiently control merchandise flow uses industrial motorized and non-motorized equipment to unload trailers transport select stock and load heavy/large merchandise as needed to assist Receiving team as well as perform all other duties as assigned by Coach.Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel.What Were Looking ForRequired to work a set schedule that may be changed/modified by management based on the needs of the facility.Requires availability to work morning afternoon nights or weekends depending upon assigned shift and overtime based on the needs of the facility.Must work in a distribution/warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds; ability to lift up to 70 pounds.What You Need to SucceedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentDemonstrated track record of good attendanceBasic math and reading comprehension skillsBasic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeIf internal no written warnings within the last 6 months or final warnings within the last 12 monthsPreferred QualificationsPost-secondary education in business supply chain management transportation or related fieldExperience in a customer service roleExperience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problemsExperience in distribution center operationsExperience with software applications such as Excel Access or data management system (Lowes DMS preferred)Experience managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously requiring a strong ability to prioritize and manage timePrevious power equipment experiences ( e.g. Reach truck or RC)Bilingual Military and Veteran applicants are encouraged to apply.For individuals with disabilities who would like to request an accommodation emailLowes is an equal opportunity affirmative action employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race color religion sex age national origin disability sexual orientation gender identity or expression marital status veteran status genetics or any other category protected under applicable law.* Benefits offerings change each year and eligibility varies.
