Job Description: RECEPTIONIST Campus/DirectorJob Title:Receptionist CampusDuty Days:207Reports to:Principal/DirectorPay Grade:1Dept/School:Assigned CampusPay Schedule:Paraprofessional Pay ScheduleWage/Hour:Non-ExemptDate Revised:9/2020Primary PurposeUnder direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office.QualificationsEducation/CertificationHigh School diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/SkillsDemonstrate proficiency in handling matters of highly confidential natureProficient keyboarding skillsEffective organization communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow written instructionsAbility to operate multi-line phone systemDemonstrate proficiency in handling matters of highly confidential natureMust possess personal qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of othersExperienceOne year clerical experience in office settingMajor Responsibilities and DutiesReception and PhonesReceive and direct incoming calls take reliable messages and route to appropriate staffGreet and direct campus visitorsAssist parents in checking students in and out of schoolReceive sort and distribute mail messages documents and other deliveriesAssist with the receipt and distribution of student materials including homework requestsMaintain visitor log and issue visitor passesProfessional ConductDemonstrates ability to remain calm and withstand pressuresFlexible to changes in routine and adapts quickly to changing situationsReliable and responsible attendance and punctualityDemonstrates respect courteous to peers and visitors and assist fellow workers willinglyAvoid speaking ill of the district and district personnelOtherAssist with preparation of materials for mailing including preparing labels stuffing envelopes etc.Maintain computerized files using personal computer including reports employee roster and mailing listsAssist with the scheduling of teacher conferencesProvide clerical assistance as neededMaintain confidentialityPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the positionParticipate in staff development training programs to improve job performanceParticipate in faculty meeting and special events as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneWORKING CONDITIONS:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsThe working conditions described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
