Receptionist Talent Software Services is in search of a Receptionist for a contract position in Cambridge, MA. The opportunity will be for 4 weeks. Summary Receives faculty, students, staff, and the public, securing names and wants, and directs accordingly. Answers incoming calls and directs them to the proper person. May maintain one or more appointment calendars. May perform typing duties. May process incoming and outgoing mail. Performs related job duties as required. Description Beginning with the start of Senior Desk in early May (when 1600 graduating seniors come to 124 to collect their Commencement tickets) until Reunion HQ moves to the Science Center, there is increased traffic from visitors and deliveries to the 4th floor. To preserve the security of the space, to minimize disruption to Senior Desk and Reunion preparations, to manage deliveries, and to welcome guests, we need to have someone stationed at the 4th-floor reception desk. Job Responsibilities: • Greets and directs visitors (faculty, students, staff, and the public), secures names and wants, and directs and/or provides information about AA&D. • Receives incoming deliveries and directs them to the proper person/team. • Answers incoming calls and directs them to the proper person/team. • May compose, proofread, edit, and prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials using word processing, spreadsheets, and/or databases. • Takes on special projects as appropriate for the Alumni Association. • Performs related job duties as required. Required Technical Skills/Knowledge: Competency using a variety of computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and/or databases.
