We have a readiness to satisfy the guests and meet and exceed their expectations.What you’ll do:The Market Manager is responsible for providing a positive guest experience, ensuring facility cleanliness, and maintaining a positive work environment. Key duties include hiring, training, and scheduling staff, managing inventory, assuming GM duties when necessary, managing costs and labor, performing performance reviews, and building guest relationships. Qualifications include ServSafe and Anti-Harassment certifications., you’ll play a key part in executing our concept, ensuring our guests receive top-notch service in a lively, fast-paced setting at all of our locations in Los Angeles.This position requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays—we’re looking for team members who are excited to be part of the action when the store is at its busiest. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, food, retail, and grocery, even if you’re still developing your experience. We want to mold enthusiastic team members into hospitality leaders!The Market Manager position will be responsible for the following:Arrive and leave on time in accordance with daily tasksDress appropriately every day for workAssist GM with administrative tasks and other dutiesOversee organization and maintenance of storefront, storage areas and officeLead the organization and maintenance of BOH operationsUnderstand labor management and ensure that hourly staff abides by break lawsDevelop a good working knowledge of the financial aspects of the restaurant including the PCL, Payroll, Inventory documents and Inventory ReportingCommunicate all challenges that arise on a daily basis with GMCommunicate with Kitchen Supervisor and kitchen staff regarding production needs, orders, and day to day needsOversee day to day operations of the marketManage and train employees on the Toast POS and customer service standardsEnsure a hospitable experience for all guests and maintain a high standard of hospitalityThoughtfully describe all store items and help standardize shareable knowledge with staffBe physically present in the storefront as needed to support hourly staffAssist GM in interviewing, hiring, onboarding new employeesAssist GM with conducting yearly performance reviewsAssist GM with schedule writing week to weekEnsure new employees are trained effectivelyCommunicate with all buyers in every department and be able to assist in ordering, receiving, merchandising, and inventory as necessaryParticipate in departmental system development with management team to streamline tasksUphold high standards for food quality control and Food Safety StandardsMaintain accountability amongst staffOversee and ensure all opening and closing checklists are done properlyWork with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environmentMaintain a positive, team-oriented, respectful mentalityOther duties as assignedWho You AreHospitality-Driven: You are genuinely excited about making people feel welcome and valued.A love for food, wine, and cocktails—you don’t need years of experience, but a passion for learning is essential.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team in a high-pressure, high-volume environment.Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative setting and are ready to support your teammates, especially during busy shifts.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to handle challenges with a calm and positive demeanor.Desire to learn and grow as a leader, with a love for coaching and developing othersAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to support the flow of our all-day, every-day operations.ServSafe Manager Certification and Anti-Harassment Certificate (or willingness to obtain).Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
