Job Description
Position Overview:The Recycling Consultant will have day-to-day Business Development responsibility and strategic Account Management duties within the Midwest territory (Illinois and Missouri). This individual develops a wide range of scrap metal suppliers ranging from industrial accounts construction/demolition companies facilities and/or other sources from a wide assortment of origins.Reporting Structure:Reports to the National Director of Strategic Alliances or Senior Director of National Sales.Summary of Responsibilities:Executes the following customer service variables: timely transportation information reporting research and customer payablesResponsible for cultivating own sales and maintaining a weekly sales metricsBuilds and maintains customer relationshipsObtains new business in markets through face to face interactionUtilizes cold calling and door knocking techniquesDistributes marketing material and participates industry eventsUp-sells current & new customersAttends mandatory sales meetings and training sessionsReports sales statistics accurately and promptly to management through excel and through call reportsAssists with training and mentoring of new hiresExecutes New Business Development and retains current accounts within territoryDemonstrates consistent execution of the Sales and Marketing PlanMaintains constant improvement and positive growth while achieving targeted levels of profitability within overall account baseDevelops long-term relationships and short-term sales strategies that are consistent with the corporate visionEngages in training support feedback and positive reinforcement / interactions with other Sales Team membersOperates with integrity while upholding ethical standards of the organizationEngages in aggressive cold-calling event attendance and networking to source potential customersDemonstrates excellent written and verbal negotiating skillsDevelops intuition towards Target Markets (Manufacturing Metal Service Centers Demo/Contractors Facility Scrap Recyclers Utility and Obsolete/Repair)Responds to inquiries regarding the scope of our services and capabilitiesViews material and generates a corresponding quotations and proposalsInitiates QEH&S diplomacy with perspective suppliersAccesses bid lists & new opportunitiesUnderstands the market threats posed by our competitorsFinds profitable niche marketsDemonstrates competency in all aspects of the job and company objectivesDemonstrate understanding of company policies rules and trainingsOther duties as assignedDesired Characteristics:Bachelors DegreeProven track record and direct sales experienceAbility to identify filter and aggressively pursue potential suppliersThe Company desires a candidate who has shown a stable job history dependable attendance practices and whose references can state is a trustworthy individualCandidate must pass a pre-employment physical background and credit checkAble to fulfill flexible scheduling requirements as determined by the manager and / or business needs of the operation; must be able to attend charity / networking / customer events after normal business hoursReside in one of these locations: Illinois Indiana or MissouriAvailability to travel at least 50% of the timeMinimum Safety Training Requirements:Basic on-the-job training that satisfies the Primary Objectives of the specific position (as noted above)US-SOP-01 United in Safety ManualUS-F11 QEH&S PolicyUS-SOP-03 Team Member HandbookWe strive to demonstrate our Core Values in all positions at USM:TrustCommitmentLoyaltyPassionRespectServicePerformanceRequired Experience:Contract Key Skills Sales Experience,Direct Sales,Hyperion,Financial Services,Financial Concepts,Banking,Oracle EBS,Securities Law,Peoplesoft,Oracle,Financial Management,Workday Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Yearly Salary Salary: 80000 - 110000
