JOB DESCRIPTION

Reel Builder

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Reel Builder at our TN facility. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient supply of reels to the production lines. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the supply of reels required for production on the extrusion lines.
  • Operate a forklift to transport returned reels from the reel return area to the production lines for re-use.
  • Construct and assemble reels according to specifications outlined in orders, ensuring a seamless supply to the extrusion lines.
  • Review the production schedule to determine the reels required for maintaining production during the shift.
  • Keep the work area neat and orderly to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Paint and stencil any returned wood reels that do not meet appearance requirements.
  • Build and assemble any reels not available from the return reel inventory required to maintain production.
  • Follow all safety requirements for the position and all company safety guidelines.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork to ensure accurate inventory transactions.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with machine operation, line operation, and quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of plastics extrusion processes.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
  • 1+ years experience in a Manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in machine learning, production, general production, assembly line, and operation.
  • Ability to review production schedules.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

The role involves working mostly indoors on the plant floor with exposure to heat, dust, and noise. There may be some work outdoors in any weather condition. Safety guidelines must be followed at all times.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
