Reference Test Clerk at Labcorp

LabCorp is currently seeking a Hospital Test Reference Clerk (HTRC) to work onsite at a hospital client this role you will provide exceptional customer service perform skilled specimen processing and be the face of our addition you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.A Hospital Reference Test Clerk will receive specimens accession and process per LabCorp specimen handling protocol. The HTRC will be a clients resource for information regarding test codes and specimen types. The HTRC will reconcile data to ensure that resulting is occurring in a timely manner and perform quality checks to ensure that proper specimen processing and HRTC will also maintain adequate supply stock to perform their duties.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm rotating weekends and holidayWork Location: Knoxville TNRequirements: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience in a laboratory environment is preferredComfortability with handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensBasic computer and data entry skillsStrong communication skills; written and verbalAbility to work independently or within a team environmentWell organized and a high level of attention to detailAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeMust pass a standardized color blindness testJob Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testingResearch troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsSend test requests to proper location and release test resultsAssist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiresProcess specimens to be sent out to additional facilitiesProvide support to various areas of the laboratoryPerform sample sorting racking and retrievingPrepare record logs in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain a clean and safe work environmentBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical Dental Vision Life STD/LTD 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO) Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
