Working independently and collaboratively with team members.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesSet-up break down and clean molds which are used during the pouring processOperate large mixersPouring and casting of refractory partsPost process refractory parts including grinding cutting and applying coatingsOperation of kilnsUse basic hand electric and pneumatic toolsAble to operate a crane and forkliftReading blueprints or job specifications to be able to perform various tasksMaintain proper and accurate paperwork including completion of inspection documentationFollow documented procedures and maintain a high degree of qualityPerform housekeeping organization and maintenance of work area and toolsPerform inspection of products using inspection equipment applicable to the taskCommunicate effectively with co-workers using both written and verbal communication skillsOrganized with an emphasis on quality and the ability to meet deadlinesComply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work areaAbide by company policiesIn order to achieve business objectives work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be requiredOther duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDFamiliar with hand and power toolsAbility to enter data into a PCAbility to wear PPEWorking EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts machinery and equipment vibration high pressure equipment and high temperature equipment. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. While performing some job duties there is a risk of electrical shock and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the working environment is often loud.
