Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team and drive excellence in maintaining and repairing refrigeration, HVAC, and related mechanical systems. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment, ensuring optimal performance across commercial and industrial environments. As a key player in property maintenance and field service operations, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and servicing refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and HVAC/R equipment. Your expertise will help keep facilities running smoothly while providing exceptional service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R units, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical equipment according to schematics and design specifications.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, appliances, boilers, and other property systems to prevent downtime.
- Conduct field service visits for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance across various property locations.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Document all service activities accurately in maintenance logs and reports for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on refrigeration, HVAC systems, or property maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, plumbing, and boiler operation.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints related to HVAC/R systems.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Experience working with field service operations in construction or property management environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification is preferred.
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with appliance repair is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles combined with practical experience in equipment installation and maintenance.
