Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why youll love this job This job is a member of the Cargo Team within the Customer Experience Division.Responsible for overseeing cargo operations of American Airlines Cargo.The Region covers the Western US and CanadaWhat youll do Sets / monitors operational performance on behalf of AA Cargo at all locations within assigned regionEnsures that sufficient resources are assigned to handle all AAs cargo products including mail live animals and specialty products to the highest standardsEnsures that security Dangerous Goods training and other objectives are met consistently and on a timely basis in accordance with both the airlines and local regulationsWorks within agreed budgeted parametersWorks with vendor partners and any necessary authorities to ensure delivery of the highest handling performance resultsOversees compliance with AA Performance Standards and compliance with all regulatory requirementsVisits all offices as required to ensure compliance and to review any open issues etc.Carries out all duties in a professional and effective mannerReviews AA Cargo systems regularly and produce compliance and performance reportsSubmits timely notification to senior management of any DG or security incidents timely notification to senior management of any DG or security incidentsContinues to ensure that best practices are employed across the regionEnsures that the regions facilities are responsive to the customers needsParticipates in operational and other meetings in various locations for AA CargoHosts regular conference calls with colleagues and vendor partners to foster a team spiritImplements Business Continuity Planning for all Cargo facilitiesCultivates the partnership between AA Cargo and vendor partnersAll youll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training5 years compliance/regulatory experience with a minimum of 3 years management experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceTravel Requirements up to 90% travelProven experience in cargo/freight managementDemonstrated ability in cargo leadership rolesExperience working with outsourced business partnersSkills Licenses & CertificationsTrain coach and develop Cargo Services teamStrong analytical thinking abilitiesExcellent organizational and project management skillsProven leadership abilities and strong employee management skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent organizational skillsExcellent decision-making/problem-solving skillsHighly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skillsWhat youll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world You your family and your friends can reach 365 destinations on more than 6800 daily flights across our global network.Health Benefits: On day one youll have access to your health dental prescription and vision benefits to help you stay well.
