This forward-thinking approach aims to strengthen our market position and deliver increased value to our clients.What this job involves:The Regional Engineering Manager reports into the Regional Manager (RM) and the National PM Director of Engineering. The position is responsible for supporting Regional Managers General Managers and Chief Engineers within their geographical region which includes Southern California Arizona and Nevada. The Regional Engineering Manager will provide technical assistance training and support as requested including (but not limited to) new business pursuits building operations transitions and execution of Best Practices and safety programs.What your day to day will look like:Lead and support engineering teams developing high performance teamsProvide leadership direction and support to the property management field organizations and the territory team leaders. Lead and coach Regional Managers General Managers Chief Engineers and other engineering leaders in their management oversight of engineering/maintenance team resources and productivity. This support will include supporting hiring training employee development and conducting and/or monitoring performance and evaluation process of the engineering/maintenance teamsProvide technical expertise and leadership to the region supporting operational improvements in reliability service delivery and solutions to property issues as requestedIdentify and implement preventative maintenance and energy reduction strategies to ensure safe reliable and efficient operations within the geographical regionSupport new business opportunities and acquisitions through all stages including proposals client presentations building conditions assessments capital planning transitions and staffingEnsure strategic management and full optimization of building systems within property budget guidelines to maximize use of the available technology and programs to efficiently operate the buildingsEnsure portfolio-wide awareness and compliance with all safety code and policy issues. Where necessary institute safety awareness training program effortsOther projects and tasks to be assignedRequired Qualifications:10 years of related experience especially as a Senior Chief Engineer or similarOutstanding knowledge of a wide variety of utility management HVAC mechanical electrical plumbing and life safety systems in commercial properties5 years of experience managing an engineering/maintenance team including hiring training and coaching employeesStrong working knowledge of applicable OSHA NFPA and EPA regulations and ability to incorporate such knowledge into operational and capital investment planningTrade school education union training military service or college is desirableUniversal CFC EPA certificationOperating Engineer license or similar (as applicable by state regulations)Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel Teams)Strong customer service and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Healthcare Real Estate; medical office buildings hospitals senior living facilities etc.Salary: $180000 - $195000This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
