This role requires strong sales acumen and exceptional customer service skills. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth in the assigned territory through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. This includes developing a clear commercial strategy increasing equipment and service contract sales and building long-term relationships with key decision makers such as VPs of Engineering Plant Managers and Maintenance leaders.Ideal candidates bring or can develop a solid understanding of the protein processing industry its markets and customer supply chains. The Regional Sales Manager communicates the technical and commercial value of POSS equipment with clarity and credibility.Qualifications Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct regular visits to customer and prospect headquarters and production facilitiesDevelop and execute a measurable regional sales planProvide a rolling sales forecastBuild strong consultative relationships at all organizational levelsUtilize CRM tools to document customer information activities opportunities and next stepsCoordinate with Technical Support on customer requirementsMaintain awareness of industry trends and competitive productsEstablish and maintain regular contact with new and existing customersPrepare quotations and manage them through closureOrganize equipment demonstrations and host customer visitsParticipate in tradeshows and marketing initiativesDemonstrate the ability to close contracts and secure new businessServe as a knowledgeable resource for customer support and servicePosition RequirementsMinimum 5 years of B2B sales experienceProven experience selling capital equipment including parts and service agreementsAbility to manage long sales cycles (1 year)Demonstrated success in customer satisfaction and revenue growthAbility to provide references or recommendationsExperience or network in the protein processing industry strongly preferredDegree in food science agriculture or related field is a plusExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and remotely (self-starter)Strong motivation for business growth and sales achievementAbility to service and inspect new and existing equipmentPhysical RequirementsRegular travel by car and airplaneAbility to travel extensively and work at a computer for extended periodsOccasional medium lifting as neededWork EnvironmentThis is a home-office-based position requiring significant travel including overnight stays.
