Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Dental Assistant at Bernardo Center Dentistry, located in Rancho Bernardo San Diego, CA. The Registered Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists and other team members to provide exceptional oral care to patients. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting during dental procedures, sterilizing instruments, educating patients on oral hygiene, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role also involves ensuring safety protocols and infection control are upheld at all times to provide a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.


Dental Assistant / RDA

Our Dental Assistant are customer-service oriented, efficient, have excellent communication and organizational skills, an outstanding work ethic and desires to grow with our practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

*Chairside Set-up / Breakdown of operatories

*Four-handed Dentistry with efficient, discrete, and smooth communication

*Helps patients feel at-ease and comfortable in a friendly and warm environment

*Makes impressions/intra-oral scans of patients for study models

*Collects essential information from patients during intake exams and relays to the team/Doctor.

*Opens dental software and prepares for patient visit

*Accurately and diligently notes and enters materials and procedures into the patient record

*Able to learn to fabricate high quality temporary crowns

Experience with Dentrix software is necessary.

This position requires experience in the dental field, with preference to those with experience in specialty practices.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR SATISFACTORY JOB PERFORMANCE

Min 2 years experience in the dental field, with a preference for dental assisting.

Fluent in dental terminology and procedures

CPR certification

Basic/advanced computer skills, including use Dentrix, and intra-oral scanning software.

Experience with Photography is a plus!

Comfortable with the use of technology
