We are committed to empowering families, nurturing effective communication, and guiding each child toward independence and long-term success.About the Role:The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Pediatric Speech Lab, 01, plays a critical role in delivering high-quality behavioral interventions to children with developmental and communication challenges. This position focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to improve clients' social, communication, and adaptive skills. The RBT will work directly with pediatric clients in a supportive and structured environment, ensuring consistent data collection and progress monitoring to inform ongoing treatment adjustments. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and educators, is essential to provide holistic care tailored to each child's unique needs. Ultimately, the RBT contributes to enhancing the quality of life for children and their families by fostering meaningful developmental gains through evidence-based behavioral strategies.Minimum Qualifications:Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred.Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental or communication disorders.Ability to pass background checks and comply with all regulatory and organizational policies.Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed treatment protocols accurately.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in pediatric behavioral therapy or speech-language pathology settings.Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles beyond RBT training.Familiarity with data collection software and electronic health records.Additional certifications or training related to pediatric therapy or special education.Bilingual abilities to support diverse client populations.Responsibilities:Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA to support client progress.Collect and accurately record data on client behaviors and treatment outcomes during therapy sessions.Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments and contribute observations to treatment planning.Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive therapeutic environment for pediatric clients.Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members regarding client progress and any concerns.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain RBT certification and improve clinical skills.Support families by providing guidance and resources to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.Skills:The RBT utilizes strong observational and data collection skills daily to monitor client behaviors and treatment effectiveness, ensuring interventions are delivered with fidelity. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with supervisors, multidisciplinary teams, and families to coordinate care and share progress updates. The ability to apply ABA principles practically allows the RBT to implement behavior plans that promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors. Organizational skills help manage session documentation and maintain compliance with clinical protocols. Preferred skills such as familiarity with electronic data systems and bilingual communication enhance the RBT's capacity to serve diverse clients efficiently and support comprehensive care delivery.
