Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewA Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for providing one-on-one behavioral interventions to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the RBT implements treatment plans using Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.ResponsibilitiesImplement Behavior Plans: Follow treatment plans designed by the BCBA to help clients develop skills and manage behaviors.Direct Client Interaction: Work one-on-one with clients in home, school, clinic, or community settings.Data Collection: Timely and accurately record and track progress based on behavioral data.Skill Development: Help clients improve in areas such as communication, social skills, daily living skills, and academics.Crisis Management: Use de-escalation techniques to handle challenging behaviors safely.Parent & Caregiver Training: Assist families by providing strategies to reinforce skills outside of sessions.Collaboration: Communicate with BCBAs, teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent implementation of interventions.Ethical Compliance: Follow all Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and company policies on ethical compliance.Requirements, Qualifications & SkillsActive RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).High school diploma or equivalentExperience working with children, individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities is preferred. Ability to pass a background check and obtain CPR certification.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment/Physical DemandsThis is a field-based role that requires travel to various client locations, including homes, schools, and clinics.Regularly involves standing, walking, bending, and engaging with clients in active environments.This job requires reliable transportation for travel up to 18 miles from employee’s home to field location.May involve working afternoons, evenings, or weekends based on client needs.Our Benefits: At The Behaviorists, we value our team members and their well-being.
