With roots tracing back to 1881 the Company is engaged in a broad range of activities in the financial services industry including retail securities brokerage institutional sales and trading investment banking (both corporate and public finance) equity & fixed income research market making trust services and investment advisory and asset management services.Job DescriptionThe firm is seeking a Registered Client Service Associate to join our Private Client Division in Los Angeles CA. The primary responsibilities include servicing clients marketing scheduling prioritizing meetings managing database general organizational support as well as client interaction. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset in order to anticipate business needs and will assume ad hoc responsibility for project-oriented tasks. This role will handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature and collect and prepare information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff.ResponsibilitiesLearn and adapt to service the needs of various accounts in order to answer day-to-day questions from clients and advisorsQuickly develop knowledge of a variety of forms and account procedures in order to assist clientsLearn to utilize research and technical support toolsProduce quality analytical reports using various software programsPromote Firm services by enhancing relationships with advisors through timely and accurate responses to questionsAct with integrity and respect in all situationsCultivate and grow existing client relationshipsAssist with marketing efforts and plan client eventsPrioritize daily work track progress of projects and deadlines answer phones take messages and schedule appointmentsDemonstrate initiative and desire to increase knowledge of rules regulations and conceptsLocal office interaction with other support members Financial Advisors and ManagementSkills/RequirementsFINRA Registrations: Series 7 and 63/65 (or 66) required (within first three months of hire)5 years experience working as a sales assistant/CSA in a corporate/brokerage environmentPossess a high degree of proficiency with technology including MS Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) and can quickly learn internal software programsMust be a team player with an energetic positive disposition seeking growth and opportunity to expand the roleMust be able to maintain the highest level of confidentialityDemonstrate strong accuracy and thoroughness in all facets of daily work and possess superb organizational skillsAble to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees management and clients in a highly professional timely and friendly mannerAble to meet designated deadlines and work effectively in a pressurized environment under time constraintsDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks to completion with little or no supervisionCompensation:For job postings in California Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills qualifications experience licensure and certifications and other business and organizational current base salary offered for this role is $55000.00 per year.
