Registered Dental Assistant at Olson Family Dentistry

Olson Family Dentistry is hiring an experienced Registered or Certified Dental Assistant to support our growing practice. This Dental Assistant role requires a strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient care, and Dentrix software.

You will work closely with one provider in a well-organized, patient-focused environment.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday
• 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• 2:00 PM–5:00 PM
• 32–37 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms efficiently
• Take dental X-rays while following radiation safety protocols
• Operate dental equipment, including digital imaging systems and 3D scanners
• Record clinical notes and chart accurately in Dentrix
• Manage electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA
• Monitor and restock clinical supplies as needed
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Provide clear post-operative care instructions to patients
• Capture diagnostic images and assist with impressions as needed
• Take and document vital signs when appropriate
• Support smooth patient flow throughout the day

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee RDA license (required)
• Radiology certification (required)
• CPR certification (preferred or must obtain upon hiring)
• Minimum 4 years of clinical dental assisting experience is preferred
• Proficiency with Dentrix (preferred but expected to learn quickly)
• Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Professional communication skills
• Dependable and punctual

Salary is negotiable based on experience
