JOB DESCRIPTION
Olson Family Dentistry is hiring an experienced Registered or Certified Dental Assistant to support our growing practice. This Dental Assistant role requires a strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient care, and Dentrix software.
You will work closely with one provider in a well-organized, patient-focused environment.
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday
- 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
- 2:00 PM–5:00 PM
- 32–37 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms efficiently
- Take dental X-rays while following radiation safety protocols
- Operate dental equipment, including digital imaging systems and 3D scanners
- Record clinical notes and chart accurately in Dentrix
- Manage electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA
- Monitor and restock clinical supplies as needed
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Provide clear post-operative care instructions to patients
- Capture diagnostic images and assist with impressions as needed
- Take and document vital signs when appropriate
- Support smooth patient flow throughout the day
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee RDA license (required)
- Radiology certification (required)
- CPR certification (preferred or must obtain upon hiring)
- Minimum 4 years of clinical dental assisting experience is preferred
- Proficiency with Dentrix (preferred but expected to learn quickly)
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
- Professional communication skills
