Registered Dental Hygienist at Insight Global
JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global's client is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join their close‑knit, patient‑focused dental team in Mammoth Lakes, California. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide preventative dental care including routine and deep cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and crown polishing.
- Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, and long‑term preventative care.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with patients through positive, compassionate care.
- Maintain detailed and timely clinical notes using Open Dental (EMR+)
- Perform procedures such as:
- Regular and deep cleanings
- Periodontal treatments
- Anesthesia administration
- Laser-assisted procedures (laser certification can be provided if needed)
- Use of scanners and other modern dental technology
- Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Typical schedule: Autonomy over your own schedule, opportunity to see up to 12–13 patients/day if desired Assistants handle X‑rays, room setup, and coronal polishing for pediatric patients (under 6), allowing you to stay patient‑focused.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Active California Registered Dental Hygienist license
- 1+ year of experience preferred (new grads welcome with the right personality)
- Passion for dental health and patient education
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Positive energy and professionalism
- Willingness to speak up, collaborate, and communicate openly
Nice to Have Skills:
- Spanish-speaking (serves ~50% of our patient population)
- Experience or interest in laser dentistry
- Background as a dental assistant
- Comfort living and thriving in a mountain / smaller community
- Interest in outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, biking, camping, etc.)
Compensation:
$55/hr to $65/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
