Registered Dietitian - 251817 at Medix

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Manage a workload of 12–15 patients per day across a variety of clinical settings.
• Diagnose and treat malnutrition using nutrition support, including TPN (3-in-1 compounding) and enteral feeds.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage complex, high-acuity medical patients.
• Float between two local facilities to provide coverage.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in daily morning huddle meetings to redistribute workloads.
• Document patient care and navigate through the Epic EMR system.

Schedule/Shift: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

• Shifts typically run 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Includes a rotating weekend schedule.
• Flexible weekdays off during the weeks a weekend shift is worked.
• Schedules are posted 4–6 weeks in advance for easy planning.

Pay: $38 - $48 an hour (Dependent on experience)

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification through the CDR.
• Washington State Certified Dietitian license (or ability to obtain before start).
• Recent Acute Care experience is required (must be able to hit the ground running after a short orientation).
• Ability to work at a high-acuity facility and manage complex medical cases.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with Epic EMR is highly preferred.
• Previous experience with TPN and nutrition support in a hospital setting.
• Strong collaborative spirit and ability to adapt to changing team needs.
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary rounds.

Contract Length:

520 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.
