Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Dietitian located in Pittsford, NY. The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for assessing and developing personalized nutrition plans, delivering medical nutrition therapy, providing nutritional counseling, and assisting residents in achieving weight management and health goals. The role requires collaboration with residents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal wellness and nutritional health.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Dietetics and Nutrition
• Registered Dietitian. BS or MS with major studies in food and nutrition.
• Minimum 1-year experience in clinical nutrition/geriatric nutrition at a long-term care facility.
• Familiar with MDS, NYSDOH standards.
• Proficiency in Nutritional Counseling and guiding individuals on dietary practices
• Experience in delivering Medical Nutrition Therapy
• Knowledge of weight management strategies and plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials and maintenance of relevant certifications
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment
• Experience in a senior care or healthcare setting is a plus
