Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.QualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).Licensure: Must hold a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.Physical Requirements:Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularlyProlonged standing and walking during shiftsMust be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squatCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hireAdditional certifications may be required based on unit, or obtained within department timeframe:ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certificationsPreferred Qualifications:Education, licensure, experience, and certifications may vary by unit and are preferred but not requiredWe’re bringing to life a healing ministry through compassionate care.At Mercy, our supportive community will be behind you every step of your day, especially the tough ones.
