Registered Respiratory Therapist – Days Shift

📍 Tulsa and Muskogee, OK

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) assesses, implements, and evaluates respiratory care services for patients in critical and non-critical areas, following hospital standards and department policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory therapies: nebulizer/inhaler medications, mechanical ventilation (invasive/non-invasive), chest physiotherapy, suctioning, PEP therapy, incentive spirometry, and bronchoscopy assist.
  • Monitor patient status, ventilator settings, and response to treatment.
  • Respond to code blues, RIT/CRIT calls, and patient transports.
  • Document clinical information accurately in medical records.
  • Mentor new personnel and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Valid Oklahoma RCP license or temporary letter to practice.
  • CRT/RRT credential through NBRC.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 months of hire.
  • 0–6 months of related experience accepted.
  • Strong communication, detail orientation, and basic PC skills.

Other Information:

  • Independent judgment required for planning and decision-making in clinical tasks.
  • Works directly with patients, internal/external customers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Supports departmental goals and participates in training/education.
