Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site position located in Ann Arbor, MI, for a Registered Vascular Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer (RVT, RVS). The schedule is 6-9 hours/day, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Occasionally extra hours are needed on Mondays or Fridays to accommodate high volumes or holiday schedules.

Job Duties:

  • Perform lower extremity venous ultrasounds - reflux studies, post-ablation follow up scans, and DVT scans
  • Document Ultrasound findings accurately and provide report to Dr. Jones
  • Provide basic patient education regarding venous disease, ultrasound exam, treatment
  • Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after the exam
  • Assist with exam room prep and turnover
  • Maintain and clean ultrasound and other related equipment
  • Assist with procedures as needed: venous mapping, site marking, set up room and equipment, assist with patient prep and monitoring during procedures


Qualifications

  • RVT or RVS certification
  • Prior experience and Proficiency in lower extremity venous reflux studies and DVT scans
  • Thorough understanding of lower extremity venous anatomy and physiology
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. The ability to connect well with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities is a must!
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting with attention to detail and accuracy. We are a team and support each other in any way we can.
  • Experience in vein care or vascular clinic is a plus
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field


Pay is competitive and based on degree of expertise
