It creates differentiated customer experiences through its expansive portfolio of brands: Anderson Tuftex COREtec Shaw Floors Patcraft Philadelphia Commercial Shaw Contract Shaw Sports Turf Shawgrass Southwest Greens Watershed Geo and more.Headquartered in Dalton Georgia Shaw is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. with more than $6 billion in annual sales and 18000 associates worldwide.Essential Duties:Successful completion of START Technician-Reliability Lead training program or have verifiable experience.Ensures that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all timesCoordinates safety training for maintenance personnel as neededEnsures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality and productivity.Learn and use tufting computer system to that is related to the jobLearn and use Sharp/TPM system to set up and receive work instructionsDirects the work order system as follows:o Maintain work order database (MP2) on Reliability Lead computer.o Performed the schedule and organize work orders with the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and reliability lead.o Communicate with Department Managers process Engineer and Supervisors to clarify work orders.Specify for the requisition materials needed to complete approved work orders using the PeopleSoft System. o Assign work orders to specific maintenance associates. o Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely mannerInspects work for completeness.Demonstrates and assists with continuous efforts to improve operations decrease Turnaround times streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.Adhere to normal work schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays as required.Attend meetings as required.Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others o Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor process Engineer or department manager.Lead the scheduled LCL cleaning duties of the LCL machines.Other task as required by management.Non-Essential Duties:Must have excellent organizational skillsMust be able to demonstrate good computer skills including but not limited to TPM/Sharp Excel searching the Internet etc.Work cooperatively with other maintenance employeesMust be able to work 8-12 hour shifts and overtime as necessary up to 7 daysMust have satisfactory work history as defined in personnel fileMust possess good communication skills both written and oral to management and other Reliability TechniciansMust attend shift first-day-back safety meetingsMust comply with all company policiesMust meet all requirements to drive/operate company vehicle on company businessMust attend all training/development as required by facility managementMust practice good housekeeping skillsMust abide by Company attendance policyMust support PRIDE goalsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift push pull and carry loads of up to 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to bend stoop squat grasp and reach frequentlyMust be able to work with hands/arms extended overheadMust be able to climb stairs and ladders repeatedlyMust be able to work in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees for limited periods of timeMust be able to operate hand and power tools and equipmentMust be able to use/operate hand and power tools in areas of limited spaceMust be able to work in elevated environment (ladders lifts baskets etc.) for extended periods of timeMust be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels dust dirt humidity and temperature variationsMust be able to work outdoors as neededMust be able to work on facility roofs as necessaryMust be able to work near moving electrical machine parts and near live electrical systemsShaw Employee Benefits Include:Health Dental and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings AccountShaw Family Health and Dental Centers*Behavioral and Mental Health SupportPaid Time OffBereavement and Holiday PayPaid Parental Leave and Leave of Absence PayEmployee DiscountsWellness Incentive ProgramCareer Development & Education Assistance401 (k) Retirement Savings PlanDisability & Life InsuranceFinancial and Retirement PlanningMedical & Social Security AssistanceAnd more.Work Shift8 Hr non-rotating shift Hrs fall to in punch day Observed Calendar shift starts PMShaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
