Religious Studies DepartmentInstructional Student Assistant- Grader PoolPOSITIONThe Department of Religious Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant Grader Pool. Not all applicants will be hired. Successful applicants will be employed as ISAs working to help grade assignments for specific courses. This is a part-time position not to exceed 20 hours a week.We welcome applications from current CSUF undergraduate or graduate students. Preference will be given to Religious Studies majors minors and students with majors and minors in the humanities and social sciences.This is a pool of Instructional Student Assistant for the department to draw on as necessary.APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.JOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of an instructor ISA will be responsible for grading (answer keys and rubrics provided when appropriate).ISA will also input grades into gradebook.ISAs will be scheduled for no more than 20 hours of work per week. All work may be completed online.REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONSMust be a currently enrolled student in good standing at CSUF.Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students including first-generation college studentsMust have excellent interpersonal skills the ability to relate well to others within an academic environment a willingness to learn and the ability to assist students in the writing process.Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.HOW TO APPLYA complete online application must be submitted in order to receive consideration.
