JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title
Processing customer payments and exceptions in a timely and accurate manner to customer accounts.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare customer payments for processing, ensuring accuracy and timely workflow.
- Perform research and adjustment activities for payment exceptions.
- Process exception items that require manual review or follow-up.
- Coordinate setup and maintenance of remittance processing equipment.
- Maintain inventory of remittance processing supplies.
- Prepare outgoing collection notices as needed (non-negotiable items only).
- Follow operational procedures to process client transactions and verify outputs.
- Identify and escalate equipment or workflow issues to leadership.
- Support special tasks or other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of remittance or item processing operations preferred.
- Ability to recognize calculation or balancing errors.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to sequence and prioritize work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, or lift up to 30 lbs as part of normal job duties.
- Comfort working in a production-based environment with deadlines.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality.
